Assistant/Associate Professor – Vascular Surgery (OARS File#: 080303)

Description

The Division of Vascular Surgery in the Department of Surgery at the University of Missouri-Columbia is seeking outstanding candidates for the position of Assistant Professor of Vascular Surgery.

The surgeons currently in the division have patient care responsibilities at the University Hospitals & Clinics and the Harry S. Truman Memorial VA Hospital. Appointment status (i.e., tenure-track or clinical-track), is negotiable. Currently, the Division has three faculty members, all board-certified in Vascular Surgery. This robust practice includes all endovascular and open approaches to vascular diseases. There is a fully-functional and well-equipped Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, where the majority of interventions are performed, and a dedicated operating room staffed 24/7 for open procedures and EVAR’s.

Successful candidates should be recognized in the field of Vascular Surgery, eligible to sit for the American Board of Vascular Surgery examinations or be board certified, and have exceptional interests in teaching and research. Significant experience with carotid stenting is preferred; completion of a vascular surgery fellowship is required.
